QSC Launches BroadSoft-based Hosted Services for Enterprise Customers

One of Germany's Largest ISPs Rolls Out Next Phase of IPfonie® centraflex® Services

COLOGNE, GERMANY AND GAITHERSBURG, MD, Dec. 2, 2008 — BroadSoft, Inc., the leading provider of VoIP application software, today announced that telecommunications provider QSC AG, one of Germany's largest next-generation network infrastructure carriers, has rolled out a new version of hosted voice services for enterprises and wholesale customers based on its BroadWorks® VoIP application platform.

QSC's upgraded IPfonie® centraflex® service is the next phase of the service provider's offering that targets small and medium businesses and resellers. In addition to the Hosted PBX solution, QSC also delivers BroadSoft's Business Trunking, which enables businesses to keep their existing premise telephony equipment while gaining the benefits of carrier-grade VoIP.

Features of future versions of IPfonie® centraflex® service will include:

  • BroadWorks Assistant - Enterprise, an integrated toolbar that enables users to make and receive phone calls and change telephone settings from within Microsoft Outlook® and the Internet Explorer® and Firefox® browsers
  • BroadWorks Communicator, an audio and video SIP softphone for Windows XP and Vista
  • BroadWorks Anywhere fixed-mobile convergence (FMC), support for new phones, such as the Aastra 51i, 53i, 55i and 57i and the Aastra DeTeWe 142 EU Dect phone functionality
