As Vice President of Engineering, Bob Weidenfeller serves BroadSoft with more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining BroadSoft, Weidenfeller was Nortel's director, Next Generation Architecture, with responsibilities for bringing next generation voice and data concepts to market. He previously served as director of R&D Operations for Nortel's GSM Switching Products, a role which included responsibilities for system test, network deployment, support and OEM interoperability. Weidenfeller also spent several years supporting Nortel Networks' installed base of carrier switches, followed by three years in France creating and managing the global deployment and support organization for Nortel Matra Cellular's (a joint venture between Nortel Networks and Matra Communications) GSM product line. Weidenfeller received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
