GAITHERSBURG, MD, October 10, 2005 - BroadSoft, Inc., the

The combination of the BroadWorks VoIP application software running
on the IBM BladeCenter T platform provides clients a highly-dense,
scalable, industry standard carrier-grade solution. They also gain
the kind of price/performance leadership required to meet the needs
of service providers deploying VoIP solutions to help reduce costs
and accelerate revenue generation.
"Our relationship with IBM and our support for the BladeCenter

world's largest information technology company, IBM provides additional
strategic and infrastructure depth and resources. This establishes
a powerful combination for service providers as they undertake these
strategic imperatives."
"BroadSoft has a proven track record for working with global
top-tier carriers in the deployment of their business and residential
VoIP service initiatives," said Jim Pertzborn, Vice President,
Telecommunications Industry, IBM Systems Technology Group. "This

running Linux allows us to provide our mutual customers the level
of reliability and support they need to compete, and grow their
businesses, in the next-generation network space."
BroadSoft's BroadWorks VoIP application platform provides a comprehensive
range of advanced applications, including hosted PBX, IP Centrex,
