BROADSOFT® CONTINUES INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION WITH NEW CUSTOMER WIN IN THE CARIBBEAN

GoTel Communications Signs Contract to Deploy BroadWorks® in Jamaica

GAITHERSBURG, MD, June 16, 2003 -- BroadSoft® Inc., the leading provider of hosted communications platforms, today announced a new international customer deployment of its award-winning BroadWorks® platform. GoTel Communications, a leading fixed-wireless provider in Jamaica, expands its telecommunications services portfolio to include BroadWorks-based Hosted PBX and IP Centrex offerings.

With the addition of GoTel Communications to its global customer base, BroadSoft now has an international presence in North America, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and the Caribbean. BroadSoft has announced 18 customers worldwide with a total of over 30 that are using the award-winning BroadWorks system, further establishing its market leadership with the most customers in its market segment.

GoTel Communications represents the first hosted voice deployment of its kind in the Caribbean. GoTel Communications will offer BroadWorks-based Hosted PBX, IP Centrex, and Voice Virtual Private Network (voice VPN) solutions to customers throughout Jamaica, with initial deployments in the Kingston region. BroadSoft will partner with The Lewis Group, a telecommunications network systems integration and installation service-company, to deliver and support the BroadWorks solution for GoTel Communications. The Lewis Group and BroadSoft have formed a strategic distribution and integration partnership to offer best-of-breed hosted communications solutions to the Caribbean market.

"Given the geography and dispersed populations, the Caribbean has always been a challenging region for deployment of communications infrastructure," said George Neil, President of GoTel Communications. "BroadSoft and The Lewis Group were able to provide us with a next-generation platform that will meet today's communications needs, and thanks to the benefits of hosting, will also allow us to add enhanced communications applications as needed."

According to David Eason, president of The Lewis Group, "In conjunction with BroadSoft, The Lewis Group was able to present a leading edge solution for GoTel Communications, continuing our mission to enable service providers to deliver enhanced services to their users effectively and efficiently."

"We're excited that GoTel Communications is implementing a visionary model for communications in the Caribbean," said Michael Tessler, president and CEO, BroadSoft. "Complementing their fixed wireless services with a hosted communications platform brings advanced voice capabilities to their customers, giving them the same efficiencies as mainland users. GoTel Communications is overcoming the geographic and technical difficulties associated with delivering service in this mountainous territory to meet the needs of their market."

BroadSoft's hosted communications platform, BroadWorks, provides a comprehensive range of applications including Hosted PBX, IP Centrex, and Voice VPN. BroadWorks is uniquely capable of providing these applications with the proven reliability, redundancy, scalability, and regulatory capabilities required to deliver carrier-class service.
