BROADSOFT ANNOUNCES THAT DSLi SIGNS CONTRACT AND
COMMERCIALLY DEPLOYS BROADWORKS-ENABLED VOICE SERVICES
DSLi will use BroadSoft's Award-Winning BroadWorks
to Add Enhanced Voice Services to its Portfolio
Gaithersburg, MD, April 9, 2002 - BroadSoft, Inc., the leader
in voice applications and servers, today announced that DSLi, a
premier provider of integrated voice and data services, is commercially
deploying BroadWorks-based enhanced telephony services to its residential
and commercial customers in Miami, Palm Beach, and Orlando with
plans to expand to 39 metropolitan areas throughout the United States.
"After evaluating a number of comparable solutions, we found
that BroadSoft has the best platform for delivering easy-to-use
enhanced voice services that meet our standards of high-quality,
reliable and efficient communication solutions," said Mario
Bustamante, President and CEO, DSLi." We are using BroadSoft's
feature-rich BroadWorks platform as the core of our voice strategy
because it offers the carrier-class scalability and reliability
we need to deliver always-on services to our growing customer base."
DSLi is committed to providing residential and enterprise customers
and tenants in commercial buildings with high-speed Internet access
and broadband data services. With BroadWorks, DSLi will be able
to add an extensive set of voice services to their current data
offerings over a state-of-the-art fiber optic network. DSLi will
now offer its existing customers IP Centrex services including a
comprehensive set of web-enabled enhanced telephony services such
as conferencing, call forwarding, caller ID, voice mail, follow-me-anywhere
calling, and auto attendant. Additionally, BroadWorks' simplified
web-enabled service provisioning will help DSLi to more rapidly
and more easily deploy and manage new services.
"We are very pleased to be working with DSLi to deliver enhanced
voice services to its residential and enterprise customers,"
said Michael Tessler, co-founder, president and CEO, BroadSoft.
"DSLi has a demonstrated history of successfully marketing
and selling communications services and we are excited that they
will be leveraging these same proven strategies to increase the
penetration of BroadWorks-based services to its installed customer
base."
With DSLi, BroadSoft has now announced seven service providers
nationwide who are using BroadWorks to add easy-to-use enhanced
voice services to their service offerings. BroadWorks is the industry's
first complete set of integrated voice applications and servers
designed to enable service providers to deliver basic and enhanced
voice services to enterprises of any size. The BroadWorks product
family provides support for media-oriented applications such as
voice mail, conferencing, and auto attendant as well as personal
calling functions such as selective call forwarding and notification,
call transfer, and simultaneous ringing.
In addition to the comprehensive set of services, BroadWorks empowers
service providers and enterprise administrators with the ability
to use the web to conduct administrative functions via BroadWorks'
web-based portal, CommPilot. CommPilot provides an alternative
user interface for enhanced services, replacing the cumbersome flash-hook
and star codes of a standard phone. For administration, patent-pending
CommPilot provides multiple tiers of intuitive, easy-to-use web
interfaces that simplify configuration and management of services
for the end-user, group administrator, and service provider.
BroadSoft will be showing a live demonstration of BroadWorks in
their booth (#1005/1007) at the Spring 2002 Voice on the Net (VON)
show in Washington State Convention and Trade Center, April 8-11th,
Seattle, WA.
