Xtended Voice Mashup Contest
Be
a part of the excitement around the BroadSoft
Xtended Web 2.0 initiative by entering the Xtended
Voice Mashup Contest. BroadSoft
is looking for the coolest business and consumer
mashups of BroadWorks calling features with Web
2.0 applications using
its new RESTful API—the Xtended
Services Interface (Xsi).
The top three prizes — valued
at $15,500, $5,500 and $3,500 — combine
cash awards with trips to BroadSoft Connections
2008: Xtend, our annual executive users
conference, held this year in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Developers can enter the Voice Mashup Contest
for free from now until Sept. 2. For more details,
visit http://developer.broadsoft.com/contest.
The Xsi
The Xsi is a new application programming interface
(API), and it’s key to enabling more software
developers to create mashups with the BroadWorks
platform. With the RESTful-based Xsi, software
developers can access call and subscriber resources
via HTTP and simple XML. This approach requires
less client-side software to be written than
other approaches, making it easier for third-party
developers in the Xtended Developers Program
to integrate BroadWorks calling features into
Web applications.

Marketplace to

Program and get information on the Xsi, go to http://developers.broadsoft.com.
Channel Partners Wanted
Channel partners are an essential
part of the BroadSoft ecosystem. Now we’ve
launched a formal program to assist channel partners
in attaining the technical training and sales
and marketing resources they need to effectively
resell BroadWorks, while establishing more open
communications between BroadSoft and our reseller
partners. The new Channel Partner Program includes
certification for the BroadWorks platform, best
practices and access to the Xtended Web 2.0 program
and APIs.
What’s in
it for resellers:
- Exclusive web portal access to partner-specific
tools and information, with priority access
to marketing programs and resources
- Credibility and recognition from partnering
with the market leader
- Access to BroadSoft’s
network of partners, including Technology
and Premier Access Solution partners and
Xtended developers
- Potential for increased revenues from an
expanded market reach and solution portfolio
- Assistance from BroadSoft's regional and
corporate teams
- Sales and technical product training and
platform certification
