The market for residential voice services has become highly
competitive with a number of alternative offerings including mobile
wireless and broadband voice services. A service provider interested
in offering or expanding its residential service capabilities with
enhanced features, an integrated user portal, and multimedia capabilities
can do so with the BroadSoft
Residential services .
BroadSoft's residential services provider customers, with and without broadband
assets, have deployed the highly scalable BroadWorks platform to
offer fully featured, competitive broadband voice services. To create
competitive differentiation, residential service providers
can layer enhanced multimedia capabilities over a base residential
offering. These capabilities which are integrated with the BroadWorks
platform include custom ringback and point-to-point video services
through the company's softphone, BroadWorks Communicator .

Testimonials
"BroadVoice chose the BroadSoft platform to launch our consumer
service for a number of reasons. In terms of architecture, we like
BroadSoft's focus on SIP. MGCP has its strengths, and other vendors
are more focused there, but we feel SIP is what will survive. They
also have built a platform that fits well with how we expect to
grow - it's scaleable, has a great feature set, and has geographic
redundancy. We like the open design, and the fact that it is programmer-friendly
by being Java-based, with good APIs. BroadSoft's history of CPE
interop and certification was also a key driver in our decision
process.
As a company, they care what the customer wants, and are great
at working with us to come up with new features, which we need to
build our customer base.
BroadSoft has the courage to try new ideas, and they're not afraid
to make the tough decision to redirect efforts if an idea doesn't
pan out. Personally, I have watched them grow over the past few
years, and feel they have a clear vision of what works in this space."
